NOTE: These presentations have been converted into a interactive movie format so that having Power Point software is not necessary to view them.

LOCKING THROUGH -- Is a USPS award winning lesson which has won 3 District 5 and 2 National awards for excellence as an electronic teaching aid.

“Locking Through” will take the skipper and crew through the: Function of locks, priority of vessels, different types of locks, signaling the lock master, locking procedures, equipment needed, securing your boat in the lock, safety aspects, etc.

THE ERIE CANAL -- A “Cruise in the Past Lane” is a presentation of a weeks cruise by John and Judy Gill with a brother and friends aboard a bare boat charter on a “canal barge boat” in September 2006. This is a cruise of the middle section of the historic Erie Canal from Fairport, NY to Brockport, NY and back and then East through the Seneca-Cayuga Canal, into Lake Seneca and return to Seneca Falls.
